May 22, 2015 (Newmarket, ON) – The “5th Annual Memorial Ride 4 Styles” charity bike ride is scheduled for Sunday, June 7th, 2015, from Newmarket to Markham (40 km).  The event will honour the memory of Constable Garret Styles, who died 5 years ago in the line of duty during a routine traffic stop.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of York is proud to have been chosen as one of the charities selected to receive funds from the event this year.

Together with York Regional Police, Special Olympics Ontario and Victim Services of York Region, we are asking for your partnership  to promote the event with your staff, your customers and visitors to your website.  Attached is both an Event Poster and  Pledge/Waiver that we hope you will post and/or circulate to your personal and professional networks.

All riders will be accompanied by a police escort and will receive an Event T-shirt.  Food and drinks will be provided at a rest stop on the route and a BBQ will be held at the finish line at York Regional Police Station #5 District Headquarters in Markham.   Transportation will be provided after the ride back to the starting point in Newmarket.

All cheques are to be made payable to York Regional Police, and tax receipts will be issued for any donation over $25.00.
