February 22 – The 4th edition of Bicycle Show Expodium at Place Bonaventure was a great success, breaking a record with 18 106 visitors. The bad weather didn’t stop the people to come for the 2006 bicycles and novelties and discover the most beautiful trails for cycling in Quebec and around the world.

“In Quebec, the cyclists are real passionate and look forward the new releases in the world of bicycle. We are happy to offer variety for everyone: for experts, for curious and for cyclists that look for a bicycle that will meet their needs.” Jan P. Dubé, promoter of the Bicycle Show Expodium.

Enthusiasm, passion and curiosity were part of the event! The visitors had the chance to visit around 100 booths. 30 of them were dedicated to cyclotourism. The exhibitors were delighted to have a direct contact with their clients. The exhibitors are also pleased with the results and are surprised, not only with the quantity of visitors but the quality.

Warm Testimonies from the Show “The Bicycle Show Expodium is a must for us. We meat people that are really interested because the show is specifically oriented on bicycle and cyclotourism” says Marie-Ève Therrien, Tourism Montérégie.

“It is great for a retailer to be here and have a direct contact with the cyclists, otherwise we don’t have the opportunity to meat them. The Bicycle Show Expodium give us the opportunity to provide education to the public about the components and technical points” Stéphane Lebeau, Opus.

“I was surprised with the number of people. The information we provide is helping people to find a bicycle that will really answer their needs. It’s motivating to speak with passionate people in middle of February!” Christian Brault, Boutique Le Yéti.

From the number of visitors and the enthusiasm at Bicycle Show Expodium, it is obvious this spring that we will observe many more cyclists that ever on the cyclist network. It is a “rendez-vous” for next year, February 16th to 18th at Place Bonaventure.
