Raisin Condition Stabilized

April 7, 2006 – After a day where Saul Raisin’s life was in the balance, the young American cyclist’s chances seem to have improved. The rider from Credit Agricole is still in an induced coma in order to help deal with the cerebral edema, which was sustained due to a bad crash in France at the Circuit de la Sarthe.

Raisin had two successful surgeries yesterday in order to reduce the swelling. The coma may, however, last several more days or even weeks.
