April 21, 2009 – Things are heating up with Local Ride’s , Race The Ridge Stage Race only five days away.  The weather forecast is for hot, sunny skies, which is a welcome sign for BC racers. The three new courses are going to be challenging, with the hilly Thornhill Road Race, a flat 16km Time Trial and a “Roubaix” style dirt criterium capping off  the weekend of events. 

“This year we made a lot of changes, adding the new courses and making it a time-based stage race. Registration is going well, which means we will be offering $4,500 in cash and prizes,” said race organizer Barry Lyster.

Registration closes Thursday, April 23 at 6pm – there is no race day registration. For information visit www.localride.ca.
