April 21, 2009 – Things are heating up withÂ Local Ride’s , Race The Ridge Stage Race only five days away.Â Â TheÂ weather forecast is for hot, sunny skies,Â which is a welcome sign for BC racers. The three new courses are going to be challenging, with the hilly Thornhill Road Race, a flat 16km Time TrialÂ andÂ a “Roubaix” style dirt criterium capping off Â the weekend of events.Â
“This year we made a lot of changes, adding the new courses and making it a time-based stage race. Registration is going well,Â which means we will be offering $4,500 in cash and prizes,” said race organizer Barry Lyster.
