April 15, 2011 – Canadian mountain bike star, Olympic silver medalist Marie-Hélène Prémont (Can) Maxxis-Rocky Mountain, confirmed her commitment to XC mountain bike racing through 2012 in a press conference on Thursday, reported Radio Canada. She told reporters that after a winter of reflection, she has decided to shoot for the London 2012 Olympics.
At the Beijing 2008 Olympics, Prémont was a strong favourite for the win, but the Québécoise was forced to abandon the race after suffering breathing problems, which were later diagnosed as asthma.
