Egoitz Garcia Etxeguibel (Esp) Caja Rural and Bartosz Huzarski (Pol) Team NetApp had to settle for second and third, respectively. Jonathan Patrick McCarty (USA) Team SpiderTech Powered by C10 finished 13th with the same time as the Greipel.

Alexander Efimkin (Rus) Team Type 1, who was 10th on the stage, took over the GC, while SpiderTech’s McCarty is ranked 15th overall.
