April 17, 2014 (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – Rocky Mountain’s Marie-Hélène Prémont of Chateau-Richer, Quebec announced her return to racing after becoming a mom less than a year ago. Prémont always expressed her desire to continue racing after the birth of her daughter and she’s keeping her word, according to a post on Velirium’s Facebook page.

Prémont plans to contest the first two Canada Cups of the 2014 series in May, both in Quebec. The series kicks off at Mont-Tremblant on May 17 and moves to Baie-St-Paul for round two on May 24.

Her decision to compete at Velirium’s UCI World Cup event at Mont-Sainte-Anne on August 3 depends on how these initial races go. The multiple Canadian XCO Champion has won the World Cup at MSA several times in the past.

We wish Prémont the best of luck!
