August 28, 2004 – Please note that the Phoenix Velo Training Group’s “Cops for Cancer Ride”, planned for Sept 9, has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. Look out for this great charity event again in 2005!

Last night for the Mission Raceway is Wed. Sept. 1st. The AGM follows on Wed. Sept. 8th at Mission Springs. We have a sign on sheet of 100 participants of which 40 are members. We’ve had a very active season with about 30-35 riders each Wed. since April. The program is divided into 3 groups. The faster more experienced riders warm up until 7pm while the newer riders enjoy a training session with a coach at a slower pace.

Everyone races in one of three groups according to ability and points are accumulated through out the season for prize money at the AGM. The Mission Raceway is a great location, handy to the Mission by-pass, without any traffic, and families are welcome on the many paved pathways.
