June 19, 2009 (Calgary, AB) – The Alberta Bicycle Association and Canadian Sport Centre (Calgary) played host to a fundraising tour this week with Phil Liggett, the voice of cycling. On June 17th Liggett lead a group of 30 cycling enthusiasts on a scenic ride in the foothills around Calgary. Afterwards the cycling icon shared some of his stories at a private dinner.

A large group turned out the next day were Liggett was the special guest of honor at an evening fundraising reception at the Rosza Centre at the University of Calgary. Liggett shared some of his best stories and the group were treated to many ‘Liggetisms’ All funds will be put towards Alberta athletes on the road to the podium.
