August 11, 2011 (Pentiction, BC) – On Friday, August 19, the first Rideokanagan.com p/b Norco “Wine Country Criterium” p/b Haymansports will roll out on the streets of downtown Penticton.

The Wine Country Crit will take place on a fast, flat 1km course along Lake Okanagan, through downtown Penticton, starting and finishing right on Main Street.

The first race is category “B” will take to the course at 6pm for 30 min. plus 2 laps. Category “A” will start at 6:45 pm and race for 45 minutes plus 2 laps. Prize money will be awarded for the top 3 in each category, plus primes and draw prizes.

Streets close at 5:30pm with day of race sign on at Gyro Park (beside Penticton city hall) starting at 4:00 pm. Unlicensed riders with past racing experience may take out a one-day competitor license.
