Jolanda Neff (SUI) Stoeckli Pro won the 22.5km, 6-lap, getting away on the first lap and opening up a solid gap. Pendrel had a slow start but quickly asserted herself taking over second place. Neff suffered several crashes along the way but still held on for a solid victory as Pendrel cut the deficit from 1:25 down to 0:34 at the finish. Apparently Neff fainted this morning prior to the start, banged her head and was out cold for about 30s, but was still ok to start.
Reigning road worlds champ, Pauline Ferrand Prevot (Fra) Raboliv on the comeback trail, finished 5th with legendary Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Nor) Multivan Merida Biking Team in 5th – full results and standings below.
