August 02, 2015   (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – Canada’s Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro) claimed second and Emily Batty (Trek Factory Racing) took 4th, putting two Canucks on the Elite Women’s final podium as fans cheered them on at fabled MSA, round 4 of the 2015 UCI MTB World Cup XCO.

Jolanda Neff (SUI) Stoeckli Pro won the 22.5km, 6-lap, getting away on the first lap and opening up a solid gap. Pendrel had a slow start but quickly asserted herself taking over second place. Neff suffered several crashes along the way but still held on for a solid victory as Pendrel cut the deficit from 1:25 down to 0:34 at the finish. Apparently Neff fainted this morning prior to the start, banged her head and was out cold for about 30s, but was still ok to start.
