July 11, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – We’re excited to announce that over 400 teams are entered this year and here are the standings from Pedal’s annual TdF Contest following Stage 9. The Grand Prize this year is a Felt F4 Carbon 11-speed bike valued at $2,699 with lots of other great prizes as well totalling over $5,000.

There has been lots of action at the Tour leading up to today’s first rest day including the unfortunate departure of Alberto Contador (Esp) Tinkoff due to illness along with the daring downhill attack of Christopher Froome (Gbr) Team Sky on Stage 8 to capture the yellow jersey. The Tour has also seen several personal bests including first-time-in-yellow appearances by the likes of Mark Cavendish (Gbr) Dimension Data and Peter Sagan (Svk) Tinkoff Team.

As for our annual TdF Contest it’s a close race at the front with 13ghosts leading with 484 points followed closely by Nov-53 with 483 points. A little further back is Charlotte’s Sprinters tied in third with nonzero both with 443 points, while Everything is awesome is in fifth with 440 points.
