Pedal Magazine’s 2011 Cycling Awards UPDATE

by pedalmag.com
December 28, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – With three days to go there are some very tight battles raging in Pedal’s  2011 Cycling Awards. As expected Catharine Pendrel looks like a lock for the Best Overall Cyclist along with a few other categories. And Ryder Hesjedal is also leading the Best Overall Senior/U23 Male Cyclist category.

The tightest battles are in the Juniors with Annie Ewart just leading Allison Beveridge by one vote while Benjamin Perry is ahead of Alex Cataford but Cataford can still take it if he can surge over the next three days.

The BMX race is also very tight with Tory Nyhaug just ahead of Connor McCormack – this is anyone’s race. Meanwhile there’s a 3-way battle for the Best CX Senior/U23 Cyclist (Male or Female) as Emily Batty, Geoff Kabush and Evan McNeely duke it out.

Pedal’s Awards recognize all categories including juniors, seniors, U23 and paracyclists from all disciplines including road, MTB, DH, cyclocross, track and BMX.
