December 24, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – Pedal Magazine’s 2011 Cycling Awards recognizing and honouring Canada’s top riders from this past season in all categories will launch tomorrow, Dec. 25. We’d like to thank the many readers who emailed asking about our annual awards as we’re slightly behind with our schedule given the holiday rush and we apologize for the short delay.

There are twelve categories – see below – including Best Overall Cyclist (Male or Female) and a special opportunity to name the Best Canadian Cycling Moment/Performance of the season which we expect to be a tough battle with numerous choices from Catharine Pendrel’s gold medal MTB Worlds ride, Tara Whitten’s Omnium gold at the Track Worlds, Clara Hughes double Pan Am Championships gold, and the Canadian Women’s Team Pursuit gold at the Pan Am Games to mention a few of the top performances this past season… happy holidays – VOTING begins Dec. 25.
