Pan Am Tickets Back on Sale Today – Games are Approaching Fast

release by TO2015

April 16, 2015 – With the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games less than 100 days away, now is the time to join in the action, as tickets begin to go back on sale today at 1 p.m. (ET). Visit TORONTO2015.org/tickets for a detailed guide and full schedule of events.

The first Pan Am tickets to go back on sale include high-profile events such as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, football (soccer), basketball and more. A second wave of events will be available on April 30, and all events for the Games will be back on sale by May 8.

Additional blocks of tickets will also be released for some of the hottest events where tickets had no longer been available, including the Opening Ceremony. All available tickets for the gold-medal finals for men’s football, baseball and basketball were quickly snapped up as 350,000 tickets were sold before they went temporarily off sale in March, in order for seats to be allocated and to open up an exclusive sales window for Parapan Am tickets.

Great seats still remain for many events, however, including the preliminary rounds of basketball and football, where fans can see two games for the price of one at each session. There are also excellent opportunities to see top baseball prospects from the Americas compete.

Spectators can also be centre stage for the always-popular sports of baseball and softball for the Pan Am Games or the always exciting wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby at the Parapan Am Games.

With the roster of star athletes starting to be confirmed, including Canadian swimming star Ryan Cochrane, tickets are not expected to last long. Tickets can be purchased at TORONTO2015.org/tickets. Be sure to keep checking for updated ticket availability and competition schedules.

The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games ticket program is designed to be affordable and accessible for everyone by offering:

Integrated tickets: Every event ticket will allow the holder to access transit on the day of the event.

Affordable pricing: Tickets start at just $20, with 75 per cent of tickets priced $45 and under.

Half-price tickets for persons under 16 years of age, or 65 and over: Tickets will be offered at a 50 per cent discount — some will start at $10. The number of discounted tickets is limited, so buy early.

Tickets for Parapan Am sporting events will range from $20 to $35 for adults, with a youth (under 16) and senior (65+) discount from $10 to $12.50 available, depending on the event. The number of discounted tickets is limited, so don’t delay.

Easy options for buying: Tickets can be purchased online at TORONTO2015.org/tickets or at 1.855.726.2015 and internationally at 1.949.333.4824.
