Pan Am MTB UCI Continental Championships Elite Men/Women’s Results – Kofman 2nd, Gagne 3rd UPDATED

March 30, 2014 (Barbacena, Brazil) – Mikaela Kofman delivered another medal for Canada claiming the silver in the Elite women’s 29.1km race today at the Pan Am MTB UCI Continental Championships in Brazil. Mexico’s Daniela Campuzano won the gold with American Mary McConneloug taking home the bronze.

In the men’s race Canada’s Raphaël Gagné battled to claim the bronze adding another medal to Canada’s podium tally as American Stephen Ettinger won the gold with Fabio Castaneda (Colombia) taking the silver. Fellow Canuck, Derek Zandstra, finished 4th following a crash.
