Pam Am Championships 2005 — Day 6

May 1, 2005 (Mar del Plata, Argentina) –Yesterday, the Pan-Am Championships headed back onto the roads with the U23 Men’s and Women’s Road Races. Maximiliano Richeze (ARG) of Argentina kept up the host country’s hot streak with a win in the 140-kilometre event. Jorge Soto (URU) completed the 15 laps in the silver medal position, while Jorge Montenegro (ARG) added a bronze medal to Argentina’s coffer.

In the women’s race, Tina Pic (USA) rocketed through the 84-kilometre race in 2:19.37. Yeilien Fernandez (CUB) and Yumari Gonzalez (CUB) added a silver and bronze medal to Cuba’s tally, both finishing in 2:19.39.
