Pacific Cycling Centre 2017 Winter Training Camp Announced for Jan. 19-22

December 24, 2016 – (Victoria, BC) – The Pacific Cycling Centre will host its third winter training camp of the 2016-2017 season from January 19-22, 2017. The camp will continue to focus on endurance, strength, core stability, flexibility and balance.The group rides aim to improve endurance and boost aerobic capacity for both road race and short distance track cyclists.

Pacific Cycling-logoThe four-day camp will include daily endurance rides including a fitness assessment ride with a hill climb and ITT, a climbing day focussing on climbing and descending techniques, and an endurance ride with focus on cycling techniques and tactics, leg speed and short sprints. A strength and conditioning/core session lead by personal trainer Hilary Wille, and a training presentation by head coach Houshang Amiri will also be part of the camp.

Cyclists will be observed by the coaching staff, who will give feedback and assist with their 2017 training plans.

To accompany the camp, PCC is offering services such as Power Meter analysis, dynamic bike positioning, MAP and lactate profiling for an additional fee.
