Ottawa’s Don Moxley Honoured with Syl Apps Award at the 2013 Ontario Sport Awards

April 17, 2014 (Toronto, ON) – On Thursday night some of the finest athletes, coaches, volunteers and sponsors gathered to celebrate Ontario’s finest at the Marriot Hotel in Toronto.

Don has been involved in cycling for the past 20 years, with the majority of it coaching with the Ottawa Bicycle Club. Don is a Level 3 coach that has coached athletes to Provincial, National and International success. Currently he works with National Champions Alex Cataford, Connor Byway and Derek Gee.

Don is a Level 3 cycling coach and also has worked closely with Cross Country skiing to develop some of Canada’s best athletes. His philosophy as a coach is inspiring “I don’t own any athletes; I am here to help, guide and provide the support they need to be the best they can be”

Don is currently working closely with the Forest City Velodrome to support Ontario athletes become world class on the track. Don is very excited about the new Velodrome in Milton.

The OCA would like to congratulate Don on his wonderful achievement. It is well deserved.
