by John Symon

October 01, 2011 (Ottawa, ON) –  Canada’s capital city is hosting the fifth annual North Side Polo Invite according to the Ottawa Bike Polo blog that suggests the easiest way to explain bike polo is “hockey on bicycles.”

“The rules consist of two teams, three players per team, everyone on a bike. You play on any hard surface ideally with boards. Ball hockey rinks and tennis courts are commonly used. We understand that some teams are coming in from Boston and New York City. The two-day event is taking place at Ev Tremblay Park at 108 Beech Street.
