Opus Bicycles Appoints Chris Dimmick as International Sales Director

November 03, 2011 (Montreal, QC) – Opus Bicycles is pleased to announce that Chris Dimmick has been appointed International Sales Director, effective November 7, 2011. Chris will be responsible for developing and managing Opus sales in all markets outside Canada where Opus Bicycles is based. His home office will be in Chicago.

Chris is a 16 year cycling industry veteran who started his career with Top 100 dealer, Turin Bicycle and as General Manager led a sales/service team that doubled Turin’s sales in a two-year period.  As the Operations Manager for the Kiron group’s national Super Cup Cyclo Cross series he oversaw the organization and execution of the season’s events.

Since April, 2010, he has been the International Sales Manager for Lake Cycling Shoes, overseeing all sales and marketing  efforts for the brand and working closely with Lakes international distributors.

“Opus enjoyed a sales increase of over 35% in Canada in 2011,” said Opus General Manager, Eric Kotlarsky. “With such exceptional growth in a very competitive marketplace, the time is right to take Opus into other international markets. It’s taken us a while to find the right candidate but we believe Chris will do an outstanding  job representing us throughout the cycling world. ”

Opus Bicycles was founded was founded eleven years ago by Outdoor Gear Canada (OGC),  Canada’s leading supplier of premium bicycle products brands.

The Opus program includes full range of beautifully-designed road, mountain, urban and kids’ bikes. Opus bicycles are currently sold through independent bicycle dealers across Canada and in Japan.
