September 2, 2008 – The Ontario XC Mountain Bike Championships takes place Sunday, September 7th at Mountain View Ski Hill in the beautiful town of Midland. Mountain View Ski Hill, a venue that is no stranger to hosting local mountain bike events, is now set to test racers looking for the Provincial title!

The course is a mix of Mountain View’s twisty single track, and big climbs, which is easily accessible for all spectators. Mountain View will showcase Ontario’s best riders, as they contend for the title of Ontario Provincial Champion. With Mountain View’s close proximity to Midland, racers can expect larger then normal crowds for the provincial showdown. The cross country events will test racers over distances ranging from 6 km — 45 km. The Experts and Pro/Elites will be racing from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm with other events starting at 8:30 am.

The Plastiglas Ontario Cup Series consists of 7 events taking place at premier mountain bike venues all across Ontario. These events have categories for all mountain bike ability levels.

Saturday, September 6th
– Pre-ride: 9:00 am — 6:00 pm
– Registration: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Sunday, September 7th
– Registration: 7:00 am — 1:00 pm
– X-Country Racing: 8:30 am — 3:30 pm
(Pro/Elite race at 1:30 pm)
