Ontario Provincial Hill Climb Championships – Sept. 16

August 23, 2011 – Brand new for 2011 is the Provincial Hill Climb Championships hosted by the Subaru Centurion in The Blue Mountains. Unique about this event is the opportunity to climb you way to $6,000 in prize money on Saturday afternoon if you qualify from the Provincial Championships held the day before on Friday night. This is your chance to be crowned Provincial Champion and win $3,000 in cash!

The TIMEX Vertical Challenge
(Sat, 17 Sep 11 – The Blue Mountains)

Climb your way to $6,000.00 in prize money at Subaru Centurion Canada’s TIMEX Vertical Challenge. The OCA Provincial Championships and Centurion Hill Climb will be part of the 60-minute TSN production of The TIMEX Vertical Challenge.

To Qualify:

  • Be selected from the top finishers in the Ontario Provincial Hill Climb Championship (Fri, 16 Sep 11).
  • Be a top contender in the Centurion Hill Climb challenge (Fri, 16 Sep 11)
  • Be invited as a club selected representative.

There are a limited number of positions in the each qualification stream, don’t wait – register now for a share of $6,000.00

The Program:
Round 1: Preliminary selection: Friday night

  • Based on results from the Ontario Provincial Hill Climb Championships, held Fri, 16 Sep 11 at The Blue Mountains.
  • Based on results from age group results from the Centurion Canada Hill Climb competition, held Fri, 16 September,2011 at The Blue Mountains.
  • By Invitation

Round 2: Semi Finals: Saturday afternoon

  • The top 16 athletes form 2 groups of eight. The top half of each heat move on to the finals.

Round 3: The Finals: (immediately following Round 2)

  • The top four from each heat of Round 2 form the final heat.

Awards:
1st $3,000; 2nd $2,000, 3rd $1,000
