January 12, 2005 – Nathan O’Neill (AUS), one of the Navigators Insurance team’s new singings for 2005, became the Australian Professional National Time Trial Champion today (January 12th in Australia). This Championship marks his ninth National Championship Jersey in Road and Time Trial events, his seventh in the Time Trial. This victory is also the second for the Navigators Insurance squad in the first 2 weeks of the New Year.

Nathan, the defending 2004 champ, won on a 40-Km (25-mile) traditional out-and-back course in Echunga, near Adelaide. Clocking a 47:41 on the wind-swept course, he bested Rory Sutherland and Russell Van Hout to take his third title in four years.
