O’Grady Wins, Canada Unlucky

Feb 5, 2003 – Stuart O'Grady (Credit Agricole) took his first win of the Tour after several podiums. Graeme Borwn (Ceramiche Panaria-Fiordo) finished on the podium, in second, in his umpteenth second place of the season, after multiple clashes with Robbie McEwan (Lotto) and O'Grady in the
Tour Down Under. Canada's Roland Green, who is leading the mountains and was second overall was most unfortunate, puncturing with 17km left to go. All of Team Canada dropped back to help him but still Green was a 1.29 behind the lead group, however, with many mountain stage left, Green's chances are not over yet.
