November 21, 2011 (Montréal, QC) – Outdoor Gear Canada (OGC) celebrated the opening earlier this month of a new, 40,000 sq. ft. addition to its LEED (silver) – certified head office, service centre and warehouse in Montréal with a staff luncheon.

The addition gives OGC over 142,000 sq. ft. of space in its Montréal facility. OGC also operates a western Canadian warehouse and service centre in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“We exceeded the capacity of our warehouse last year, three years after moving into it,” explained Jean Cloutier, OGC’s Vice President of Operations & Finance.

“We see the industry and our business continuing to grow not in spite of but, in part, because of the weak general economic conditions,” said Rob White, OGC’s Vice President of Sales. “Cycling, in particular, is such a health, enjoyable and inexpensive activity. It’s also gaining momentum as a means of transportation in our cities and towns.  And our outdoor and snow businesses are also growing. There`s never been a more exciting time to be in this business.”
