February 27, 2006 -The OCA won a Trillium grant last year, and part of the Trillium money is being spent on enhancing registration for the membership. The registration process is immensely complicated and transferring all the specialized rules into an ecommerce solution has proved very challenging.

The technology company that is putting this all together, Integrated Sports Systems, has some excellent experience working in the sports arena. Providing customized solutions for associations like Diving Canada and Gymnastics Ontario has demonstrated success and creativity. However, the launch of the OCA e-commerce member registration will be delayed.

Steve Merker, OCA Executive Director announced “On behalf of the OCA staff, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I take full responsibility for this delay and you can be assured we are working hard at completing the project in the very short term. This could take a few hours or up to a couple of days.we will post the official launch time later today.”

For members who desire to sign up right away and want to take advantage of the on-line discount, we will extend this offer to ‘paper’ registrations that mark “$5 on-line Discount” at the top of the registration form.
