OCA News – Team Ontario 2010, FREE Youth Track Cycling Program, Only 30 Tickets Left for Cycling Celebration

November 16, 2009 (Toronto, ON) – Here’s the latest news from the Ontario Cycling Association with info about the 2010 season, a FREE Youth Track Cycling Program as a result of a partnership between the OCA and the Forest City Velodrome and Cycling Celebration tickets are going fast.

2. FREE Youth Track Cycling Program – OCA and FCV partnership
The Forest City Velodrome, Ontario Cycling Association and Ontario Trillium Foundation are looking for the next Canadian Olympian in cycling. If you are new to Cycling or an athlete in another sport (athletics, running, hockey, soccer, volleyball) and you would like to give track cycling a try. Here is your chance to come to the Forest City Velodrome in London to find out what cycling has to offer.

We are looking for boys and girls, 14 – 16 years old to participate in our youth cycling program, Saturday afternoon’s at 2pm. The introduction is part of our very successful Velo-Kids program, that in 4 short years has produced 9 Gold medals for Team Ontario at the Canadian Track Cycling Championships.

Every Saturday afternoon from November 14th – March 6. The FCV will conduct a 1 hour introduction to the Velodrome, and the cool thing is that the introduction is “FREE” and includes the use of a bike.

3. Cycling Celebration this weekend 2009 CYCLING CELEBRATION – Only 30 Tickets Available!
Less than 1 week away is the 2009 OCA Cycling Celebration! Happening on Saturday the 21st of November at the Whistler’s Grille, located on 995 Broadview Ave in Toronto, this will be a fantastic event recognizing the top event organizers, athletes and volunteers of the past season.

The evening will also feature an inspirational slideshow centering round Ontario’s 2009 Canada Summer Games Team with many team members already confirmed to be attending.  In addition there will be numerous raffle prizes up for grabs.

How do I get Tickets?

Information regarding how to purchase tickets can be found at the link below. The reception will start at 6 P.M. and the dinner promptly at 7 P.M. Please note that for larger parties, group rates can be arranged by contacting the OCA office.

6pm- 7pm: Reception (cash bar available)
7pm – 8.30 pm: Buffet Dinner – enjoy the tastes of Whistler’s Grille 995 Broadview Avenue, Toronto
