June 26, 2009 (Nanaimo, BC) – Here are the results from the Oak Bay Cycles midweek 20km TT in Nanaimo, BC last night. Don Gillmore (Schwalbe) won the men’s race and Debbie Epps (NMBC) took top spot in the women’s competition. The weather was cool with a west wind that dropped to zero as first riders turned.

*Note: Jackson James had his Blue 50cm Cannondale stolen this week. If you are in any of the bike stores or pawn/second hand stores, please let me know if you see it. It has cyclo-cross type brakes and a Sun Tour derailleur. pakamac@gmail.com

June 19, 2009 (Nanaimo, BC) – Schwalbe’s Don Gillmore broke his own course record tonight to win the men’s event and the majority of riders posted personal bests for the distance. Debbie Epps, Tri BC, won he womens race, also doing her best time for 40km. Weather was cooler than the last couple of weeks, with a rising westerly breeze. Next Thursday’s event will be a choice of 20 or 40km. The next team time trial will be a 33km event on July 2.
