June 17, 2016 (Portland, OR) – Nutcase Helmets celebrates ten years of stunning helmet development by launching four new helmets for 2017. Nutcase is now 100% focused on expanding and deepening their bicycle and skate offerings.

Scott Montgomery, Nutcase CEO, states, “Our product development team, led by Nutcase founder Michael Morrow, has been working overtime this year to add new models and designs to our collection. Coming from Platinumrated Bicycle Friendly Portland means we ride all year ‘round and thus new cycling ideas are everywhere. With increased focus and cooperation coming from the entire company, it is truly our best collection ever for the coming season!”

This will be the earliest launch in the company’s history. To mark the occasion, Nutcase will mail its 24page, fullcolor catalog directly to its dealers on June 30th . The catalog will be a tribute to cycling in the city Nutcase calls home, as well as a celebration of the past decade of helmet design.

In support of the new offerings, Nutcase has expanded its account manager network in North America, creating complete coverage throughout the United States. They have brought on Creagh/Keller Sales, Inc., for the Carolina’s, throughout the Southeast in addition to Oklahoma & Arkansas? Desert Sports Group, Inc., is covering Arizona, New Mexico and the greater Las Vegas area? Mike McMahon for San Diego, Orange County and the Inland Empire? Scott Anderson is covering Colorado & Wyoming? John Blye for upstate New York and Connecticut? and Jerry Vanderpool will cover Idaho and Montana.

Nutcase’s National Sales Director, Chris Streight, explains, “The 2017 line is very compelling and has helped us build our best sales team to date. The feedback gleaned from retailers that have seen a sneak peak has been resoundingly positive. I’m super excited to work with all the new account managers and continue with our established sales team that have been instrumental in growing the brand.”

Nutcase’s international presence also continues to grow. Direct Trading LLC has taken the distribution of Nutcase helmets in UAE and Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon.

New Products
Metroride™ MIPS™ – This lightweight, inmold helmet features large vents, 360° reflectivity, a magnetic buckle, a sturdy spin dial and now MIPS™ technology, developed by brain surgeons and scientists to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head. Available in S/M (5559cm) and L/XL (5962cm) in both Black Tie and Technicolor.

Metroride™ – Designed to fit head sizes 5962cm, the new Metroride™ L/XL will be popular with daily commuters as well as bikepackers and touring cyclists, as the larger size will better accommodate cycling caps and hats. The Metroride™ can be purchased in seven designs and two sizes, meeting nearly every cyclist’s helmet needs.

The Zone™ – This multisport ABS/EPS helmet offers a durable, fullcoverage shell that does not compromise airflow, fit, or style. Its headtoshell channelling through segmented EPS in conjunction with 14 vents provide optimal ventilation. A customized fit is easy to achieve with three sets of pads in addition to our innovative FlexForm™ technology. Offered in four solid, matte colorways in a clean, ‘duotone’ look in M (5458cm) and L (5862cm).

Tracer™ – This helmet takes riders from town to trail with ease, and is sure to be especially popular with the growing population of ebikers
around the globe. It is a lightweight, inmold helmet that provides fullcoverage, innovative features, modern bright colors for visibility, and a stylish sporty look. Channel venting allows air to flow when you need it and the CoolControl™ onthefly vent closure mechanism blocks the air on chilly mornings when you do not. The removable cloth visor shields your eyes from sun and rain, while the adjustable retention system, multiple pad sets (3mm, 6mm, 9mm) , and magnetic buckle provides a customized fit that goes on easily. Tracer will be offered in six highenergy colorways in sizes S/M (5256cm) and M/L (5660cm).

Thumbdinger – This bell offers a politeyetstrong ‘ping’ on the road, path, or trail. Th is simple minibell comes in six fun candy colors, as well as black, silver alloy, and brass.

New Position
Marketing Manager – Meghan Sinnott has accepted the role of global Marketing Manager. Sinnott began her career at Nutcase in 2012 as Office Manager before moving to marketing and most recently product development. She has an indepth understanding of Nutcase’s products from concept to user enjoyment, and everything in between. She is deeply involved in Portland’s cycling and arts communities.

July 1, 2016 – With their best ever preseason program terms, discounts, marketing, stock rotation, and dealer support program, combined with an early line introduction, Nutcase dealers will have the opportunity to be more profitable than ever before with Nutcase products. Nutcase’s MAP policy and innovative line will ensure that dealers have their best year ever with Nutcase. The company will showcase the new collection at Eurobike and Interbike. Join company founders Michael Morrow and Miriam Berman in their celebration at a 10 th anniversary cake cutting party in the Nutcase booth on the first day of Eurobike.
