NORBA XC #4 — Short Track Women\’s Report

July 9, 2006 (Deer Valley, UT) — The Luna Women’s Mountain Bike Team dominated the women’s short track event, with three riders sweeping the medals. The team took advantage of its many members by using strong team tactics to launch Katerina Nash (CZE, Luna Women’s Team), Georgia Gould (USA, Luna Women’s Team) and Shonny Vanlandingham (USA, Luna Women’s Team) into the top three spots. Canada’s Alison Sydor (CAN, Rocky Mountain-Business Objects) churned out the best Canadian result with sixth place. Wendy Simms (CAN, Velo Bella-Kona) was lapped and finished 17th.
