NORBA #6 – Downhill

August 3, 2004 — The Norba #6 weekend at Schweitzer Mountain wrapped up yesterday with some high-speed downhill action. The dusty course dropped 580 metres over four kilometres. Canada’s Dustin Adams (Giant/Pearl Izumi) put in a solid run and was in the hot seat for a while until Sam Hill (AUS, Iron Horse/Mad Catz) kicked him out with a better time. Adams ended up clinging to the podium in fifth place. It was World Champ Greg Minaar who grabbed the win by less than a second over Nathan Rennie (AUS, Santa Cruz Syndicate). Hill finished third.

Luna claimed the top two podium spots in the women’s competition with Kathy Pruitt (USA, Luna Women’s Team) logging the fastest time. Marla Streb (USA, Luna Women’s Team) stopped the clock with a second-place time. Chile’s Bernadita Pizarro (Red Bull) was third.
