Nicky Pearson Is New OCA BMX Coordinator

January 24, 2005 – The OCA is pleased to introduce the new BMX Coordinator/Growth and Development Officer. After an extensive search for a candidate who encompasses many aspects to help BMX grow in Ontario, we are proud to announce Nicky Pearson as the new BMX Growth and Development coordinator.

Nicky joins our organization with many valuable skills and abilities. Not only did she help BMX transition from NBL to OCA, but she also built the Riders Ready program with her home track, Track 2000 in Milton”¦a program that meets the needs of underprivileged children in the community. She has spent countless volunteer hours compiling results, developing grant ideas and marketing the sport of BMX to everyone involved including many individuals outside of Ontario. Nicky Pearson has already helped the sport grow to where it is today and with continued hard work and dedication she is committed to see the sport get to the next level.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation has made this position possible. The OCA successfully won this grant last fall and a portion of this program involves the development of BMX in Ontario.
