Provincial Level ‘C’ Road Commissaire Course

The Provincial Level ‘C’ Road Commissaire Course originally set for April 29-30 has been rescheduled. Bicycle Newfoundland and Labrador will now be hosting a Provincial Level ‘C’ Commissaire course in St. John’s on the weekend of June 10-11. Quebec commissaire, Louise Lalonde, will be conducting the course. This course will be free to all members of Bicycle Newfoundland and Labrador (nominal charge for others who are interested) and is a requirement for all new road and cyclo-cross commissaires. Level II Mountain Bike Coaching Course

There will be a Level II Mountain Bike Coaching Clinic in St. John’s on the weekend of May 12-14. This cost of the course will be $50. The course conductor will be named at a later date. This course will be offered during the 2006 Newfoundland and Labrador Coaching Conference. November 11, 2003 – Application forms for the 2003/04 Athlete Assistance Program are now from the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. The application along with Guidelines for Applicants are available from John French (jbfrench@nf.aibn.com) or by visiting the Government Web Site at www.gov.nf.ca/tcr/links.htm under the heading of Sport/Recreation. Applications are due by Friday, November 14, 2003, and must be submitted to BNL. The Athlete Assistance Program is designed to provide financial assistance to athletes to help offset the costs associated with training and travel to competitions.
