April 1, 2011 [Vancouver, BC Canada] – Strada Cycles opens its doors today to the public; this road / competition bike shop is two blocks off Vancouver’s downtown core, located at 162 Powell Street. This strategic location is to cater not only to recreational riders, competition riders but those that commute to the downtown core. Riders can drop their bikes off for service while at work.
Vancouver’s cycling community has grown tremendously in the last few years with an ever growing network of bike routes spanning 300 lane kilometers and 10 new bike lanes downtown for commuters, couriers and delivery services.
An amazing growth in ridership has come from many areas such the RBC GranFondo Whistler, Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer® rides. Cycling offers a great way to keep fit, have fun, support charity and build a new social network.
Strada Cycles is a boutique bike store much different than traditional stores, with clean appearance and displays. The store caters to those that want to customize their bike to they liking and application. A wall display shows off frames to choose from then you pick out all your components.
Strada Cycles also offers Bike Fit Video Analysis and building the bike for the individual is the key to optimal performance, comfort and reducing injuries. Unlike the traditional idea of buying pre-built bikes that were not sized and fit to individual, these services and products are now available to the professionals, and recreational riders
