May 12, 2016 The National Cycling Centre Hamilton (NCCH), one of five nationally recognized cycling centres in Canada, is offering a cycling program to help beginner and intermediate riders prepare for this year’s Ride Don’t Hide.
Women’s Intro to Cycling Program
Where: NCCH – 385 Jerseyville Rd West, Ancaster
When: Mondays and Thursdays commencing May 23rd – 6:30-8pm (10 sessions)

Programs (led by NCCP qualified Cycling Coach)
Beginner: This program is for riders that are new to the sport or just getting back into the saddle. We will review basic bike
handling skills, learn how to repair a flat tire, proper use of gears, riding safely in traffic and train for your selected race distance.
Intermediate: This program is for riders with some riding experience. We will briefly review the basics from the Beginner program and then spend the balance of the time in the saddle to improve cycling fitness.
Required Equipment: Bike, helmet, sunglasses, bike shoes/sneakers, and water bottle.
Ride Don’t Hide is a fundraising ride hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association to generate awareness and support for those struggling with mental health issues in our community. The ride features distances for all skill levels, culminating in a finish line party to celebrate your accomplishment.
The campus of McMaster University will be the start and finish location for the ride.
