Montreal’s Annual Nude Bike Ride

by Pasquale Stalteri

June 11, 2011 (Montreal, QC) – The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an event that takes place every year in various locations around the globe in June – 167 countries have participated since WNBR began in 2004. It is a way to celebrate freedom and to challenge the environmental issues of pollution and fossil-fuel-based transportation. It’s also an opportunity to challenge the social status that is displayed by our clothes, the cars we drive, and all the accessories that show our hierarchical position in society.

This is also an opportunity to show the diversity of body types and to highlight the beauty of humanity in its many colors, shapes, ages, and experiences. At WNBR Montreal, go as bare as you dare! Crazy costumes and wicked body paint are also more than welcome!
