Montreal Bike Show Opens Feb. 13-15 with 300 Exhibitors

February 11, 2015 (Montreal, QC) – The 13th annual Montreal Bike Show / Salon du vélo de Montréal is set to go this Friday as the doors open at 12 noon at Place Bonaventure. The popular consumer bicycle show is now running together with the first edition of the Montreal Triathlon Show and one admission fee gets visitors access to both shows.

“We have some 300 exhibitors at the 2015 bicycle show,” notes Jan Dubé, president of both shows. This list includes bike manufacturers (Cannondale, Argon 18, Cervelo, Felt, Guru, Marinoni, Pinarello, Scott, Trek); accessory manufacturers (Shimano, Biemme, ARG, Bontranger, Diadora, Fizik, Pearl Izumi, Arkel); important Quebec retailers (Bicycles Quilicot, Gervais Rioux; Martin Swiss; Momentum Solutions; Mountain Equipment Coop; Louis Garneau concept stores Vélo Espace/Quebec City and Vélo 2000/Montreal area); tourist associations; a bike school (Techno Cycle); bike clubs; triathlon clubs; bike advocacy groups; granfondo rides ; non profit groups (Cyclo Nord Sud); media (La Presse, Pedal, Velomag); hotels (Auberge Harris), nutritional supplements; charities, and miscellany (i.e. CAA Quebec, chiropractors).

“This year’s show will see the presentation of BORA-Argon 18 team bikes, the Canadian launch of De Rosa bikes from Italia, and the launch of Tow-Bii a revolutionary multipurpose trailer for bikes,” added Dube.

“Show visitors will also find a new Urban Cycling section with the introduction of the world’s first intelligent commuter bike: Vanmoof Electrified. In addition, this will be the first edition of the Montreal Triathlon Show and fat bikes will be available for demos on our test track,” he continued.

Dubé also mentions that there will be some 60 speakers during the three days of the show and “…the most important Cycle-Tourism section ever presented in Canada”. All of this coincides with the 100th anniversary of the opening of Quebec’s oldest bike shop in continuous operation, Les Bicycles Quilicot (an exhibiting retailer).
