July 28, 2015 – In honour of the Mont-Sainte-Anne World Cup 25th Anniversary this July 31-Aug. 2, we decided to celebrate with a print and video tribute for fans worldwide.

We’re proud to have been a part of MSA’s history from the beginning, publishing the first WCup Official Program, along with extensive race coverage over the past 25 years.

Read the complete story from day one, in Pedal Magazine‘s Spring 2015 edition, with former Canadian MTB great Marie-Helene Premont on the cover. The feature article chronicles MSA’s amazing adventure as organizers, Patrice Drouin and Chantal Lachance, built a worldwide following with amazing races and outrageous parties.

One of the most popular venues on the circuit, MSA has also won the prestigious IMTTO (International Mountainbike Teams, Tech support and Organizers) as the top event of the year in 2009.

The MSA 25th video documentary below is based on a series of interviews with Drouin and Lachance, and features superb photographs of former greats like Premont, John Tomac, Missy Giove and others, as well as insights and stories from iconic mountain bikers, like Switzerland’s Thomas Frischknecht and Canadian stars, Catharine Pendrel, Geoff Kabush, and Micayla Gatto. They reflect on 25 years of World Cup XC and DH mountain-biking history through the lens of Mont-Sainte-Anne.

Special thanks to Peter Kraiker, who wrote the feature article and put together this fabulous video. We’d also like to extend a hearty thank you to Tom Moran, whose amazing photos from MSA and the entire MTB World Cup and World Championships are legendary.

Kudos to Patrice and Chantal and their Gestev crew, and of course, the FANS for supporting such an awesome legacy.

Enjoy!
