Moab Rocks Day 2 Results – Kabush in Charge, Rochette 2nd in Women’s Race

March 28, 2017 (Moab, Utah) – Canadian Geoff Kabush (Scott Sports-Maxxis) continued his strong showing on Day 2 of Moab Rocks in the Open Men’s category, winning his second straight stage in the 3-day category. Kabush finished 47 seconds ahead of American Justin Lindine in second and 1:04.5 in front of Ben Sonntag in third.

A total of six Canadian men finished inside the top-15 on Day 2, with Jason Wiede in 9th at 8:16.4 back, Mathieu Belanger-Barrette in 12th at 10:59.5 down, Greg Day in 13th at 11:00.4 behind Kabush, Dylan Bailey at 11:07 behind in 14th and Marc-Andre Daigle in 15th at 11:35.5 back.

Kabush increased his lead in the General Classification with a 50-second advantage over Lindine after Day 2.

In the Open Women’s race, Canadian Maghalie Rochette (Cliff Bar) finished second behind teammate Jena Greaser (USA). Rochette moved into second overall after her Day 2 performance, and trails Greaser in the GC by 1:33.6. Rachel Pageau finished 11th on the stage at 32:00 behind and moved into 11th overall.
