May 27, 2009 – Stage 2 of the Mike’s Bike Shop Cup was held last night on a technical 2000m course in Dieppe’s St-Anselme Park. The 45 plus a lap cross country event once again attracted a good crowd. Moncton’s Jeff Currie proved to be the fastest, but once the handicap formula was put into the equation, Craig Harper was the eventual winner.

He was fallowed by Julien Roussel and Keith Godfrey. On the general classification, young Julien Roussel of the National Cycling Centre’s Peter Wedge Program is now in the early lead of this 18 event series. Godfrey follows closely in second place, while Krista Koval now sits in 3rd place and at the same time, taking charge of the women’s field.

The next event will conclude the cross country side of the series and will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcomed.
