May 21, 2005 — Effective immediately, the Midweek Cycling Club Inc. has terminated its relationship with the Vaughan Cycling Club. Over the past three months, it has become clear that certain obligations on the part of Vaughan Cycling Club owed to the Midweek Club and the Midweek Men’s team have not been met.

The Midweek Cycling Club’s activities will not be adversely affected and our club will continue to run its comprehensive racing and women’s development programmes and the four weekday race series.

Midweek will also organize the twenty-fifth annual CHIN Picnic Criterium with a new and exciting format and, in addition, will run an expanded Corso Italia Grand Prix weekend.

It is unfortunate that the proposed amalgamation with Vaughan C. C. was not workable and we wish the Woodbridge-based club every success in the future.
