Veal’s team mate Heath Cockburn was under 20 minutes in 2nd with a time of 19:48.3. Finishing the podium was Ilija Petrovski (Above Threshold) with a time of 20:07.6. There was an unhelpful wind as usual from the north-west at 22kph. A total of 18 riders reported to the start line for the Thursday evening race.
