Mark Buckaway, Race Director said, “Racing starts at 7pm. Racers will take to the boards for scratch, win and out, and special elimination races amongst others. Pre-registration for racing is highly recommended.”
According to Rob Good, founder of the Forest City Velodrome, “Using Six Day style racing, like recent six day races in Europe, we keep racing fun. It is about the show. Racers and audience members alike will have a blast.”
Craig Saari, president of the Forest City Velodrome Association said, “Our members’ successes in the recent OCA O-CUP and Youth OCUP races show that training on the small track and tight corners provides excellent bike handling and pack racing skills. This Saturday’s Race Night is another opportunity for the track cycling community to hone these skills in a fun and competitive environment.”
Race registration online is $30 in advance. Tickets for the audience are available at the door for $10 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors, and kids are always free.
