June 16, 2009 (Lachine, QC) — Planet Energy’s Keven Lacombe won round #2 of the Mardis Cyclistes Saputo series taking the elite men’s 50km race on Tuesday on a beautiful summer evening in Lachine with a packed house. Estimates of 10,000 fans were on hand to see Floyd Landis (OUCH) and some of his team mates including John Murphy, Rory Sutherland and Canada’s Andrew Pinfold (Cameron Evans was not in attendance).

Lacombe’s team mate Martin Gilbert was second and Guillaume Boivin (VW-Specialized) was third with Pinfold in 4th – Landis finished in the pack. Tonight’s Mardis race was broadcast live on the internet for a Canadian first.
