Mardis Cyclistes Saputo on YouTube

August 23, 2007 (Montreal, QC) — The 30th edition of Les Mardis Cyclistes Saputo — the largest criterium race in eastern Canada – wrapped up this week, but Pedal readers can still catch the action on YouTube.

Lance Campeau, who describes himself as a 33-year-old musician and producer, has posted video clips from nine of the ten stages, only missing the final race this past Tueday, on August 21. That race saw Kleber Ramos da Silva (Garneau Crocs) win the stage and the crowning of Jean-Francois Laroche (Sleeman Clear TATV) as the overall winner.

The clips are of good quality and last a few minutes each, capturing poignant moments of the hour-long stages and of the award ceremonies. There is musical accompaniment and the announcer (in French) can be heard in the background.

“I wonder what I’m going to do now that the Mardis Cyclistes are finished,” says Campeau toward the end of the awards ceremony on Tuesday.
