August 16, 2006 – Lyne Bessette, 31, announced her retirement on May 24, from professional road racing after four years on the national team, but she is finding things to occupy her time.

“I took part in a triathlon last weekend in Verdun (Quebec).and I am preparing for my first endurance adventure rally from August 18 to 20 near St. Raymond (near Quebec City). The teams will be followed live on the www.enduranceaventure.com website all weekend. Spa Balnea and Louis Garneau are with us (as sponsors) in this adventure. the team includes Georges Visser, Jean-François Rivet, Nicolas Lemaître and myself. The boys asked me to join their team once they heard I had some more time on my hands.”
