February 18, 2011 – The Marketing Hall of Legends (MHOL) is proud to announce Louis Garneau, President and of cycling products and solutions company, Louis Garneau Sports Inc., as this year’s final inductee in the Visionary category for his outstanding contribution to the Canadian marketing community.
“With so much talent and leadership in the Canadian marketing industry, it’s always difficult to select and honour the best,” explained Jim Warrington and Stéfan Danis, Co-Chairs, Marketing Hall of Legends. “However, there’s no question that Garneau exemplifies the best of the best as a Visionary: passionate, both in his personal and professional pursuit for cycling, while able to evolve creatively and consistently show extraordinary leadership.”
Celebrating extraordinary leadership and dedication within the marketing industry, MHOL will formally induct eight new members at its revitalized annual gala held at Roy Thompson Hall on April 14th.
“The annual MHOL gala honours the outstanding achievements of members of the Canadian marketing community,” says Kori Kobzina, President of the American Marketing Association, Toronto Chapter. “However, the gala is also a chance for us to celebrate the marketers on the rise and expose them to this amazing program. We’re thrilled to make the event more accessible to the whole marketing community this year with the two-tiered gala structure.”
This year’s moderated Power Mentoring Session will bring together dozens of emerging marketers with industry leaders, an intimate one-on-one mentoring opportunity with professional development tips and discussions with mentors on their personal experiences, successes and challenges surviving in the evolving Canadian marketing industry.
“We’re pleased to complete the selection of this year’s MHOL inductees by honouring Louis Garneau among seven other marketing leaders and innovators,” said Dr. Alan Middleton, Chair, Marketing Hall of Legends Judging. “I think the marketing community will be pleasantly surprised at the new energy and gala format that MHOL will bring this year to celebrate these extraordinary accomplishments!”
