Liège-Bastogne-Liège – Preview Photos

April 25, 2010 (Liège, Belgium) – The 258km final spring classic, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, is underway in southern Belgium in good conditions. “La Doyenne” (the oldest) dates back to the early 1890s and as one of the five monuments of cycling will be hotly contested by a field of almost 200 riders. Ryder Hesjedal (Garmin-Transitions) and team mate Christian Meier are on the start line for Canada and Hesjedal is the team leader looking for another podium following his second place finish at the Amstel Gold race last weekend.

April 26, 2009 (Belgium) – Here’s a selection pre-race photos from the 261km Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Doyenne (the oldest), as the race dates back to 1892 in the Ardennes region of Belgium and is one of the five monuments on the pro calendar. The race is underway and there are two Canadians on the start line – Garmin-Slipstream team mates Ryder Hesjedal and Christian Meier.
