May 14, 2010 (Gatineau, QC) – The organizing committee of La grande visite de Gatineau is proud to invite you to the 7th edition of La Grande Visite de Gatineau taking place on June 11, 12 and 13, 2010. This annual cycling event is fun for the whole family and a great chance to ride the streets and discover the city of Gatineau. Bicycle lovers from all around participate in this event and this year there are more events to choose from.

The security of all participants is the organizing committee’s top priority and all events include rest stops giving participants the opportunity to rest and recover.

In addition to the 35km family event this year there will also be three new events. New to this year is La Grande Visite Sportive, a 90 km ride, and two new events for children: La Petite Visite which is a short 1 km ride, and a skills competition. There will also be an exposition and demonstration area.

The main events this year are two races approved by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) the Chrono Gatineau, a UCI 1.2 individual time trial for pro men and women on June 12 and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Gatineau, a UCI 1.1 pro women’s road race. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to cheer on athletes from all over the world.
